Following a £3 million redevelopment in 2011, each luxurious room features a flat-screen satellite TV and a sleek bathroom with a hairdryer and bathrobes. All rooms have views over the nearby fells and many have a patio or balcony.

Overlooking the hotel gardens, the stylish Garden Restaurant at Rothay Garden provides award-winning food, using local, seasonal produce. A generous Lakeland breakfast is served each morning.

Riverside Spa offers guests an exclusive facility including Hydrospa, a Herbal Pine Sauna, Aromatherapy Room and a Reflexology Walk.

In the English Lake District, Rothay Garden Hotel was built in 1856 and is a short walk from Grasmere’s lake. Rydal Water is just 1.5 miles away and Ambleside, Windermere and Kendal are within easy reach.
